Our Promise to You

Share A Cool Story is built on the belief that everyone has a story worth telling. To protect this space and the people who trust us with their stories, we ask all community members to follow these guidelines.

Be Respectful & Kind

  • Treat every storyteller with dignity and empathy
  • Engage thoughtfully with stories, even when perspectives differ from yours
  • Remember there's a real person behind every story

Share Authentic Stories

  • Share stories from your own experience or with proper attribution
  • Do not plagiarize or copy content from other creators
  • AI-assisted writing is allowed but must be disclosed

Content Restrictions (NSFW Policy)

To maintain a safe environment for all ages, the following content is strictly prohibited:

Not Allowed:

  • Sexually explicit content or pornography
  • Graphic violence or gore
  • Content depicting or promoting self-harm or suicide
  • Content sexualizing or exploiting minors in any way
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery
  • Drug use promotion or detailed instructions

Sensitive Content (Use Content Warnings):

Some topics are allowed but require a content warning at the beginning:

  • Stories discussing mental health struggles
  • Experiences with trauma, abuse, or loss
  • Discussions of addiction and recovery
  • Medical procedures or health conditions

No Harassment or Hate Speech

We have zero tolerance for:

  • Bullying, harassment, or intimidation of any community member
  • Hate speech targeting race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected characteristic
  • Threats of violence or doxxing (sharing personal information)
  • Targeted campaigns against individuals or groups

Respect Privacy

  • Do not share personal information about others without their consent
  • When sharing stories involving others, protect their identity
  • Do not upload images or videos of people without their permission

No Spam or Commercial Content

  • This is a space for stories, not advertisements
  • Do not post repetitive content or spam comments
  • Sharing your work or projects is allowed when relevant to your story

Enforcement

Violations of these guidelines may result in:

  1. 1Content removal with a warning
  2. 2Temporary suspension from posting
  3. 3Permanent account termination for severe or repeated violations

Severe violations (illegal content, threats, CSAM) will result in immediate termination and may be reported to authorities.
